Pre-dispersed Pigment and Single Pigment Concentration

With the continuous development of the industry, today’s plastic coloring processing and molding is moving towards trends of large-scale equipment, highly automated production, high-speed operation, continuous refinement and standardization of products. These trends resulted in many ultra-fine, ultra-thin and ultra-micro products, which require higher standards of pigment dispersion. In addition, the demands of high efficiency, environmental protection, energy saving and cost reduction are also increasing. Because the general plastic molding processing equipment (such as: injection molding machine, spinning machine or single screw extruder, etc.) cannot provide the shear force required for pigment dispersion during processing, the pigment dispersion work is usually undertaken by professional manufacturers-pigment suppliers or color masterbatch manufacturers.

Pre-dispersed pigment(Also known as Pigment Preparation or SPC-Single Pigment Concentration) is a high concentration of a single pigment. According to the characteristics of different pigments, the general pre-dispersed pigment contains 40-60% of the pigment content (the effective content of the pre-dispersed pigment produced by our company can reach 80-90%), and processed by a special process through specific equipment. Effective dispersion methods and strict quality control make the pigments contained show the finest particle form to achieve the best color performance. The appearance of pre-dispersed pigment can be fine pow particles with the size of about 0. 2-0.3mm, and the product can also be made into particle with the size of commoncolor masterbatches. It is precisely because the pre-dispersed pigment has such obvious characteristics that it is increasingly used in the manufacture of color masterbatches.
